Oana Mihaela Drăgan

I graduated from the Journalism and English section of the West University in Timișoara, Romania in 2002.

During my university studies I took a gap year which I spent in London, England, working in a school for disabled children and perfecting my knowledge of the English language.

Following a preparation course there, I successfully passed the Cambridge Proficiency Exam with the highest grade, A. The Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) is the highest level of English knowledge tested formally.

My teaching experience spans 19 years now. I have taught in-company courses in Coca-Cola HBC in Timișoara, Romania, to levels from elementary to upper-intermediate.

In Slovenia I have taught, as a teacher in a language school, in companies specialised in finance, media, commerce or consulting. I am experienced in teaching classes of up to ten students, as well as one-to-one classes to busy managers.

From 2007 to 2014 in my own office in Ljubljana I gave courses such as Romanian for beginners, General and Business English from elementary to proficiency level, as well as preparation courses for the:

• Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)
• Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
• Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
• Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage and Higher.

My Dutch adventure is in its seventh year now: in addition to English, Romanian and Slovene courses given to students of various nationalities who live and work or study in the Netherlands, my activities have included sports translations in the English-Romanian language combination, various Slovenian-Romanian translations, and an interesting cultural profiling project on Slovenia.

English conversation and IELTS or TOEIC exam preparation courses are very popular with students and enable them to gain more confidence and pass their exams successfully.

•Are you crazy about languages and would like to add one of mine – English, Romanian or Slovene – to your collection?

•Do you have trouble with English or simply want to become ever better at it?

•Would you like to prepare for one of the official exams or just practice your conversation?

I am here for you.
